Week 9! {{HAPPY DANCE}} I hit my first 10 lb goal! I now have 13 pounds left to hit my official goal and boy does it feel good to have the first 10 pounds behind me!!!

Week 9:

Starting Weight: 122.8

Lost: .7 pounds

Ending Weight: 122.1

Total Weight Lost: 10.2 pounds

Last week I shared some of my favorite desserts. This week I want to share some of my favorite breakfast items. First I LOVE, LOVE the protein shakes. When I first began the diet I kind of had to laugh at the size of the breakfast items because well, I thought there was NO WAY that would hold me up until lunch…even with a power fuel snack in the morning. I thought I would just be too hungry which is a fail with so many other diets I’ve tried. Eat a little and then I would be so hungry for the next meal, I would end up overeating. When I first started the Nutrisystem diet, I couldn’t believe how much of a difference the protein shakes made. I started off eating a power fuel snack in the morning, but as time has passed I find myself not needing to eat anything until lunch time. So with the protein shake in the morning, I’ll enjoy some of these tasty breakfast items:

Blueberry or Double Chocolate Muffin

April Strudel Bar

April Strudel or Chocolate Chip Scone

Chocolate Frosted Donut

or I’ll enjoy one of the frozen breakfast items like:

Pancakes

French Toast

Garden Veggie Omelet

Ham and Cheese Omelet

Week 8!! I have been on the Nutrisystem program for 2 months now. I’ve lost a total of 9.5 pounds. WOW! I am feeling great! I am loving the program because not only am I losing weight, but I feel as though I am learning how to eat. I am learning valuable lessons that I can carry on even after I am finish the program. This will be very important in maintaining my weight once I’ve reached my goal…which I am getting closer to everyday, I might add.

Week 8:

Starting Weight: 123.7

Lost: .9 pounds

Ending Weight: 122.8

Total Weight Lost: 9.5 pounds

This week I’d like to share with you some of my favorite desserts! Well, really it’s been ALL of them…lol!! I love enjoying some guilt free chocolate which is important in keeping us ladies happy…am I right?  So let’s see there’s the chocolate cake, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate sandwich cookies (which I dipped in my coffee today instead of milk….YUMMMY!), the double chocolate almond cookies, fudge brownie. Then there’s the frozen yummies! Ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, chocolate creamy fudge bars and orange creme bars. Oh Yeah, I’m suffering through it…NOT!

Week 7…and I’m back on track!! YAY! While I had a slight gain last week. I am really happy to say I’ve lost that plus some this week!!

Week 7:

Starting Weight: 125.2

Lost: 1.5 pounds

Ending Weight: 123.7

Total Weight Lost: 8.6 pounds

So, I am at a total lost of 8.6 pounds and feeling great! I’m looking forward to reaching the 10 pound milestone, but am totally enjoying pulling out clothes I haven’t worn in forever!!  Yay Me!

Week 6! Uh Oh! I think Mother’s Day weekend got me!! My family treated me to some most delicious food this Mother’s Day Weekend, and I accepted. Here in South Louisiana EVERYTHING revolves around food which is a constant challenge. There were also a few days of not feeling well last week, and it’s actually carried on to this week, so the exercising and water drinking has not been what it should be. I came out of week 6 a +.7, SO it’s time to refocus! Not just on the foods I’m eating, but also on exercising.

Week 6:

Starting Weight: 124.5

Lost Gained: .7 pounds

Ending Weight: 125.2

Total Weight Lost: 7.1 pounds

Week 5 and going strong! I am wearing clothes I have not been able to fit in quite some time which is super motivation. This week I lost another 2 lbs! (Happy Dance!)

Week 5:

Starting Weight: 126.5

Lost: 2 pounds

Ending Weight: 124.5

Total Weight Lost: 7.8 pounds

Last week I did struggle with the time to add on all those yummy veggies, so I’ll be trying to refocus on that this week. I’ve been exercising some, but not on a set schedule just yet. I’m going to try and get that all set this week as well.

Week 4 and I couldn’t be happier!  My kids were on spring break last week, so we were on-the-go a lot.  We did meet hubby for lunch out one day, but I researched what I was going to order ahead of time. We went to Olive Garden. They have their menu online which includes all the nutritional facts of each entrée, so I was able to choose my lunch accordingly. It was deliciously satisfying and I didn’t even have to feel guilty.  The kids also wanted frozen yogurt one afternoon.  I decided to check with the wonderful Nutrisystem Dietitians about exchanging a Nutrisystem dessert for a serving of frozen yogurt.  Their desserts average 140 calories, 5 grams of fat, and 6 grams of protein. With this information I was able to choose my portion of frozen yogurt. So how did I do? Drum roll please….

Week 4:

Starting Weight: 127.8

Lost: 1.3 pounds

Ending Weight: 126.5

Total Weight Lost: 5.8 pounds

Whoo Hoo!! Alright, now last week I promised I would share some of my favorite meals. First, I love the protein shakes. I’ve tried the vanilla and chocolate, and I actually prefer the vanilla. They really work at holding me up until lunch. My favorite breakfast so far was the Apple Strudel Bar. I had one in my first shipment, and I had been craving another one ever since. (I ordered 9 for next month…lol!)  For lunch, I’ve really enjoyed the Steak and Cheese or Chicken melts that came in my frozen shipment. For dinner…Lasagne. Veggie or meat both are delish! I also really enjoyed the Flame Broiled Beef Patty which I put in a wrap with tons of veggies. Mmmmm! Mmm!

Week 3! Really has it been 3 weeks already? I’ve dieted before and I can tell you by week 3, I am craving every food possible that I am not suppose to eat, but not this time. I actually can’t believe I’ve completed my 3rd week!! And I have some super exciting news…my clothes are fitting loose…I love it!!

Week 3:

Starting Weight: 128.5

Lost: .7 pounds

Ending Weight: 127.8

Total Weight Lost: 4.5 pounds

While I only lost .7 pounds again this week, I am definitely feeling a difference – not just in my clothes, but overall I am feeling great! I have not yet incorporated exercise into my weekly routine, but I plan to start my Zumba for the Wii this week. I have, however, made sure to get up and move this week. I’ve practiced softball with my daughter a couple times throughout the week. I also cut the grass (with a push lawn mower – the entire yard!) I started Week 2 of Nutrisystem super excited!  And I’m happy to say, I am still super excited! This week I faced a few challenges. It was the first time that my family wanted take out, and we were invited to a crawfish boil. I ate my meal while my family had takeout and it didn’t bother me at all. Did I have crawfish? Yes, I did! But I am so happy to say, I ate a very small portion. I stayed away from the dip and the potatoes, so all in all I think I did pretty well.

Week 2:

Starting Weight: 129.2

Lost: .7 pounds

Ending Weight: 128.5

Total Weight Lost: 3.8 pounds

One thing that I absolutely LOVE about the program is the variety. It really makes it easy because I can choose what I feel like eating each day, and it’s not always the same thing. If my family is having lasagne, I’ll pick one of my lasagne meals. If they are having pizza, I pick one of pizza meals. I really like the pizza by the way because I can load on the veggies, and it is so delicious!

I started the Nutrisystem program last Monday (April 9th) weighing 132.3 pounds. I want to lose 22.3 pounds within the next 4 months getting to my goal weight of 110 pounds. I’ll be posting weekly updates the entire time that I am on the program.

Week 1:

Starting Weight: 132.3

Lost: 3.1 pounds

Ending Weight: 129.2

So far I have really enjoyed everything I’ve been eating. The 64 oz of water I am suppose to drink everyday, has been a challenge, but is getting much easier. My biggest challenge this week was Easter! We have a big family bar-b-q every year, and I didn’t know what I was going to eat. Well I am happy to say that I did really well and made some really smart choices. I followed my normal Nutrisystem breakfast routine, but for lunch I ate on my own. I had hubby grill me some mushrooms, peppers, and zucchini (which were just delicious) and ate them with a  pork chop. Then for supper I ate a burger with my left over veggies. I only had a little tasting of the potato salad and a couple bites of dessert. I am now looking forward to Week 2!
