Does the cold weather outside make you want to do some Christmas shopping? Well, Amazon has marked down alot of their Wii games. Some are 50% off like the Princess and the Frog one pictured above and Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey. You can get them for only $9.99.

Some are more than 50% off like High School Musical: Sing It which is marked down from $29.99 to only $9.61!

The Disney Sing It: Pop Hits Bundle (This one includes the microphone) is marked down 50% to only $19.99. (My kids LOVE this game!)

Last night I decided to order the Princess & The Frog game for my little girl. I got the game shipped for only $0!!! That’s right I paid nothing! How did I do it? I used some of my Amazon Gift Cards that I have been earning with Swag Bucks. And you can get all the games (plus many more) shipped FREE with Amazon Prime. If you don’t have Amazon Prime on your account you can get it free right now if you sign-up for Amazon Mom.

Please remember prices can change very quickly on Amazon, so I wouldn’t wait if you are planning on getting any of these. Be sure to search around for other titles that may be on sale as well.

Lowe’s will be giving out 5,000 90% off coupon codes at 11:01 p.m. Central time tonight, each is good for a product on Lowes.com. The event will be taking place on their Facebook wall. You can view details here.

They will also be releasing a sneak peak of their Black Friday ad.

To kick things off they will be releasing a code for 90% off the above Kitchenaid mixer to make it only $18.10 to the first 100 people. You’ll have to be quick for this one. Not sure how, when or on what items the remainder of the codes will be for.

So I discussed with my family the 30-Day Giving Challenge which we are so happy to be participating in, and we came up with a few ideas. Obviously, we will not be giving in the form of money every day, but we did pick a few organizations in which we would like to make small donations to throughout the month. The first one that we decided on was Living Water International. I loved the family discussions that came out of this donation. My four year old was having quite a time comprehending that some people do not have running water in their home, so she has been asking ALOT of questions. In fact this morning, during breakfast she asked, “How are we going to get the drinks to the people?” Huh? So she continued, “You know the people without the faucets.” OH! Gotta love questions like this from a 4 year old

Another donation will be our shoebox gifts to Operation Christmas Child. (Collection dates: November 15th – 22nd)

We will also be packing up some items for care packages that will be sent to our great men and women serving in the military. I try to pick up extra items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, razors, eye drops, etc. when I can get them free or really cheap for these care packages. You should be able to find some organizations in your neighborhood this time of year that are collecting items. If you are a local reader, Letters from Home is collecting items, and they will even pick them up from you. (lettersfromhome . us @ gmail . com) remove spaces

Make a donation to a food drive. Churches, schools, even grocery stores will be holding food drives this month.

You can also clean out your closets and make donations of clothes you/your children have outgrown.

Make dinner for a neighbor.

Help an elderly friend or family member with their shopping, cleaning, etc.

Babysit for a friend so they can have a night out.

This month is also Adoption Awareness Month and Orphan Sunday is this Sunday, November 7th. We will be doing something for this, but we have not made any final decisions.

I’d love to hear what other ideas you may have!
